(Please note: we only take orders of £50 or over so we do not hire out smoke machines alone. We do not have any facility for collecting from us. We only deliver. Please do not call asking to hire only a smoke machine.)
Adding a smoke machine to your lighting package makes the lights stand out so you can see the beams. It's a cheap and easy way to make the lights look more impressive, especially with lasers.
The smoke machines we have available for hire are manually operated, meaning they have a hand-held remote control which gives you full control over when the smoke is created.
Includes full tank of smoke fluid - which is more than enough to last all night when not used excessively
Hire a smoke machine for £10 (available only when also hiring lighting)
Smoke machines are also known as fog machines or foggers. There is no difference between a smoke machine and a fog machine.
Video
This video shows one of our smoke machines in use, quickly creating a light fog to bring out the best in any lighting effects. Don't be put off by the large amount of smoke produced. This just means that you only have to use it for a short time to get the desired amount, as the smoke here will quickly spread out in to a very light fog.
The smoke machine is best used in a few short bursts until, after a minute or so, the room has the desired level of fog and then an occasional burst is all that is required for an even light fog.
Safety and usage information
The smoke created by our smoke machines is not dangerous to breathe. This type of smoke machine is widely used in almost all night clubs.
The smoke can activate smoke detectors and this is something that you should check with the venue first. Many venues have more advanced smoke detectors that allow this type of smoke, but some don't and the venue staff will be able to tell you if it's OK to use a smoke machine.
As with all of our products, this smoke machine is designed for DJ-type usage and is not necessarily suitable for all uses. It's primary purpose is to create a very light fog to bring out the beams of lighting effects.
Our smoke machines are not suitable for outdoor use, not only because they aren't water proof, but also because outside requires a much larger output of smoke as it will disappear in the wind quickly.
The smoke machines we use are thermostatically controlled, meaning that occasionally they will not be able to produce smoke while the heater gets back up to temperature. This is generally for around 30 seconds in every 10 minutes or so. This is normal on all but the most high-end smoke machines. This does mean that if you require the smoke machine to be constantly ready, for certain on-demand applications, such as theatre effects, then it might be up to 30 seconds before the smoke machine is able to produce smoke.
If you have any other questions regarding the smoke machines that we have for hire please contact us for more information.
